The Crawford School of Public Policy will host a series of seminars on New thinking about Australian security, presented by Professor Rory Medcalf, Head of the ANU National Security College.
In an interconnected world, Australia’s security interests will keep outgrowing its capabilities. Australia’s strategic lifelines will be caught up in tensions surrounding China’s rise. Terrorism will strain the resilience of our society. Cyber hazards will be pervasive. And we will struggle to manage expectations as a provider of regional security. These problems will demand new policy approaches involving partnerships with other countries, the private sector and the community.
